  1. Hello, I'm hoping to build a new gaming pc in the next couple days (when my parts arrive) and I haven't decided on an OS yet. Like a lot of people, I've used Windows all my life but I am looking for something cheaper and more secure then windows 10. I also heard linux is easier to install also, which is good for me because I'm not experienced in installing this stuff. (Though I'm sure I could install either, it's probably not rocket science. My question is, which OS would be better for steam gaming? Do all games on steam work for linux? Would you recommend one or the other based on your experience? Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=242105 Online Video Production Studio Thank you.
  2. Hello, The problem is if I try actually jumping or falling off said high point. As my virtual avatar is careening off a cliff, or my first-person viewpoint is hurtling towards the ground, I physically feel a tightness in my chest as the ground gets closer ever so quickly. And it happens in either type of game, whether I'm looking at my character jumping off or it's actually my first-person viewpoint. Things like: jumping off the Agency Tower in Crackdown; jumping off of any building in Assassin's Creed; falling out of a helicopter in Grand Theft Auto 4 or even Battlefield: Bad Company; and most recently, jumping off the balcony of Tenpenny Tower in Fallout 3. It's almost like I actually feel like I'm about to die even though I've jumped from high distances many times before in video games prior. And weirdly it happens every single time, and I really can't remember a single moment that I don't feel that tiny bit of vertigo from rushing towards the ground. It's very strange to me, and it only occurs when I have a very large distance to fall. It doesn't happen if I am just standing there looking down. Any help will be apprecited. 3. Old NSM jukebox conversion

Hello, I've got an old 1970's NSM consulette jukebox wallbox that I want to convert to play MP3's via a rasp pi to a Bluetooth sound bar. I'd like somehow for the original selection buttons and selection display to work. How would I go about doing this? What interfaces would I need and how would I program it? Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=122037 Online Video Production Service Thank you.
  4. More NSM support

Hello, What's the status with core things supporting Non Session Manager, such as Guitarix and Hydrogen? What about Muse and Rosegarden? Those things would make a huge difference to me in having a flexible workflow. I like the drum editors in Muse and Rosegarden better than most other programs, even though I've been using Ardour for audio tracks. I'm leaning these days toward having Claudio save settings for JACK hardware and NSM for running different programs. It would be easier if I could integrate everything better. Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: https://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12203 Teaser video agency Thank you.
  5. Hello, I have a titan one i brought a couple years back and just updated it to latest firmware etc, set output mode to ps4 and plugged in a windows wireless adapter to input and then plugged it into ps4 and sync'd controller up to it. Seemed to work fine and I loaded up doom and played for a couple minutes without issues Is there anything I need to know? I noticed the titan one was flashing AU but it was still working fine for a good 5-10 minutes so do I need to worry about that? Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. 6. Hello, Scenario 1: - Wireless Xbox One controller -> USB dongle (previously paired on computer) -> T2 Input A == Red LED - Wireless PS3 controller -> USB cable -> T2 Input B == Green LED Scenario 2: - Wireless Xbox 360 controller -> play & charge cable -> T2 Input A == Red LED - Wireless PS3 controller -> USB cable -> T2 Input B == Green LED Output is into a PS3. All controllers, cables, and dongles are official from MS or Sony. I don't have any wired controllers, is that a requirement for them to work as input into the T2? Is there something wrong with what I'm attempting to do? Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. 7. PS3 game keeps freezing

Hello, I recently purchased a copy of farming simulator 2015 for my PS3 but there seems to be a problem with it. I have over 3 million in funds and I want to buy the GRIMME MAXTRON 620 potato harvester. When I go to the shop and select the item and pay for it the game just freezes. I have tried this on several occasion but the outcome is always that the game freezes which is becoming very very irritating. Now it seems whenever I try to buy higher end machinery it still freezes and I have to reset my PS3 and start again. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and has anyone found a solution to the problem. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. 8. Hello, So I've been having a problem with connecting a slim PS3 (CECH-2504A) to my HP w2408h monitor, in that it doesn't work at all and I haven't found anything online where others had similar problems. First off, the PS3 does HDMI output just fine on a friend's HDTV, no issues there. Works just as well over SCART on the SDTV I still have lying around. The monitor likewise has zero problems when connected to my PC via DVI/HDMI. When I try to connect the PS3 to the monitor, one of two things happens. If I switch the PS3 to HDMI output while the monitor is switched on, it will seemingly ignore it, spit out a check cable message and go into standby. If I switch it to HDMI first, then turn the monitor on, it will sort of freeze. The backlight stays on, but no OSD message will be displayed (and menu and other buttons will be unresponsive) and it stays like this without going to standby. Basically, I have no idea what might be the issue here, I've tried pretty much every related setting on the PS3 in case some of that tripped up the monitor, but no luck there. Any of you fine tech-savvy Ars folk have any clue what might be amiss here? Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
